Canada entered the World Butchers’ Challenge with a bang in 2022. Creating a Canadian team was the brainchild of team captain Peter Baarda, three-time winner of Ontario’s Finest Butcher competition. It was a rigorous try-out process for those wanting a spot on the team and in the end, seven butchers entered the Golden 1 Centre to represent Canada in their inaugural and highly memorable performance on the world stage. With a mix of new and returning members, we can’t wait to see what Canada bring to the table in the 2025 competition.
