The Italian National Macellai® have officially opened the selections to form the competitive team from Italy that will compete in the 2020 World Butchers’ Challenge. Here come the Sharp Blacks: New Zealand butchery team announced

New Zealand’s butchery team – The Sharp Blacks – has been announced as they kick off their journey to the 2020 World Butchers’ Challenge (WBC) in Sacramento, California. The seven-man team, which includes one reserve, is made up of the best butchers from across the country and preparation will now start in earnest as they plan for the ‘Olympics of Butchery’ in September 2020.

British Beefeaters 2020 WBC team announced

The six butchers who will represent Great Britain at the World Butchers’ Challenge 2020 to be held in Sacramento, California, USA have been named. In a special announcement at Dalziel’s North West Butchers’ Show in Chorley recently, it was revealed that all six representatives of Team GB who competed in 2018 will return to prove they are a cut above the world’s best.

WBC success: Beefit by Tom Wood

Tom Wood, captain of the Team GB - The British Beefeaters, has been involved in the World Butchers' Challenge since 2015 and has played a huge role in continuing to grow the British side, all while running his own successful stores. It never ceases to amaze us how fast Tom moves with new ideas; which are always aplenty and his willingness to share with others.
